"The mock-up serve primarily for the determination of aeroelastic characteristics of prismatic beams under forced or self-excited oscillation. It is used for basic research focusing on the analysis of instabilities of rendomly excited systems. The results make possible to interfere in parameters as well as in the basic structure of theoretical models. It allows alos practical applications in the industry. The set-up can be ued also for dynamic design of slender strcuctural and selected mechanical parts. Original version of the mock-up is used at the Boundary Layer laboratory at the Ruhr University Bohum. It has been used by the design of the bridge over the Rine river near Wesel."@en .
