"The objective of the project was assessment of technical potential of the wind energy over the area of the Czech Republic. The calculation was based on siting of individual wind turbines of state-of-the-art technology. The mean wind field over the country was produced at horizontal resolution 100x100 m at 100 m above ground. The final result was obtained by weighted averaging of outputs from the hybrid model VAS/WAsP and the flow model PIAP. The meteorological inputs included not only standard meteorological measurements but also meteorological mast data and wind measurements from air quality monitoring stations. Besides the modeling, the feasible potential of the wind energy resources was estimated."@en . . . .
