"The work discusses the method of simultaneous measurement of optical and electrical characteristics of the sample of biological material in solution, to which at least two measuring electrodes are attached. The sample is placed on a transparent substrate and is illuminated for the measurement of optical characteristics. The measuring setup includes electrical characteristics measuring device, at least two electrodes applied to the sample, transparent sample holder, imaging optical system and illuminating equipment. These measurements are used for the observation and evaluation of movement and morphology of various kinds of living and dead cells of size 10 to 100 micron on an electrical sensor or exciter, with simultaneous measurement of electrical properties of the sensor or the response of cells to the change of the electrical parameters of the exciter."@en . .
