"Locality %22Psané skály%22 near %22Poličany%22 first appeared in the homeland studies in the first half of the 19th century (based on the oral tradition). On the map however, it was not to be found till the 20ieth century. Historians connected some historical graffiti that had been made during the 16th and the 17th centrury on the rock board in the valley of Mastník creek to the Hussites, followers of Nicholas, or other Czech brothers. The effort to use this artifact to the support of national or state mythology was not succesful because of the lack of written resources. The contemporary oral traditon reflects however many legends. The locality also suffers from a heavy tourist activity"@en . "Psané skály - příklad nezdařené narace" . . . "Per saecula ad tempora nostra.
