"The challenge was to find the optimal combination of analytical software tools suitable for the calculation of spatial models of temperature fields and their subsequent presentation. Therefore, the output of this task is a newly created model of spatial distribution of the primary values of temperature of carboniferous massif in the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Basin. A major benefit of the new model is a significantly higher accuracy than in yet produced single thermal model. The concept of model building is based on the availability of spatial and temperature information of the point set located inside the considered model. The purpose of spatial modelling and visualization is to help create an image of complex topological arrangement of the data available in the area. Based on the generated thermal model, a 3D map of temperature fields OKR at around 1 000 m depth was generated. The 3D map is presented in the form of the collected works of specialized maps (see Fig. 1) with expert content presenting original research results of the temperature field distribution of the rock massif of OKR in high levels of -500 m to -1200 m.
