"The goal of the study was to assess the equivalency of data from traditional (paper/pencil) and adaptive administration of personality questionnaire with polytomously scored item format. The NEO PI-R questionnaire was used in this study, which consists of 240 items covering five basic personality traits - extraversion, neuroticism, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Using two-groups design with crossed conditions of administration in the first and the second measurement (traditional x adaptive, adaptive x traditional) the relation between results of different types of administration was investigated as well as the differences in respective raw scores. Adaptive tests were created and administered using CATo software. The sample consisted of 60 subjects. The analyses suggest relatively high level of equivalency."@en .
