"Presented poster shows application of strategy usually used in lexical approach to personality description on systematization in biology. The main aim is to suggest new and original taxonomy of animal species based on the five-factor model. From The Dictionary of Czech phraseology 173 similes were selected, in which personality-relevant adjectives were attributed to animals (e.g. hardworking as bee, clever as ape). All similes were classified using the German classification system and according to results of a comprehensive taxonomy of Czech personality-relevant adjectives. The results show that temperament and character traits, experiential states and terms related to anatomy were represented most extensively, whereas behavioral states, roles and relationships, attitudes and worldviews did not occur among similes. A representative sample of 62 animal similes, classified as dispositions were selected to five personality domains. The great amount of animal similes could be assign to Conscientiousness" .
