"Cyclic stress-strain response, surface relief and internal dislocation structure of superalloy INCONEL 792-5A were experimentally studied in a wide range of cyclic strain amplitudes at room temperature. The hardening/softening curves, the cyclic stress-strain curve and the fatigue life curves were documented. High and middle amplitude cycling result in a pronounced hardening followed by saturation. Low amplitude cycling was characterized by initial hardening followed by stable stress response.
