"Year 2010 was the first year of implementation measures at Brno reservoir. Aeration was realised by using of 20 aeration towers. Two types of aeration and hypolimnion destratification was introduced. By first one mixture of air and water was pumped into potential anoxic layers above bottom, second one was repumping of oxygenated water under the surface water level to a bottom layer. Aeration and destratification is one of the most promising nonchemical methods for prevention and management of the water blooms. In spite of late start-up of aeration/destratification results of this contribution show that system is fully functional and it was probably one of the reasons of good water quality in reservoir again confirmed crowded beaches."@en .
