"Effect of Loading Rate on the Behaviour of Partially Pyrolyzed Basalt Fibre Reinforced Composite"@en . . . "Several basalt fibre reinforced composites based on SiOC glass derived from the polysiloxane resins were prepared at different pyrolysing temperature regimes. Very high fracture resistance was measured for unidirectional fibres, in the range of 20 MPa.m1/2 at room temperature. When the woven fabric was used as reinforcement, the good properties remained on the satisfactory level. The fracture toughness and flexural strength were observed at quasi-static loading. The effect of higher loading rates was investigated using an instrumented impact pendulum accompanied by a high speed camera. Significant change in the fracture behaviour was observed and higher consumption of energy was obtained for higher loading rates. All results were supported by fractographic observation of fracture surfaces." . . "RIV/67985891:_____/14:00435140" .
