The contribution focuses on a case of axially symmetric flow over horizontal plane. Conservative equations are solved using discontinuous Galerkin method. A series of experiments was performed for verification of the theoretical solution. Highly concentrated non-Newtonian suspensions were spread over the horizontal plane and the flow depths and velocities were determined using a video-camera recording.
