"Bioluminescent bioreporters are genetically modified microorganisms responding selectively to different compounds by active bioluminescence, which makes them usable for construction of biosensors. Pseudomonas fluorescens HK44 is a bacterium, responding to naphthalene and intermediate of its metabolism salicylic acid by active luminescence. Response of P. fluorescence HK44 to numerous naphthalene and salicylic acid analogues was measured. Relationship between structures of compounds and luminescence intensity was found using the GUHA method. Chemical structure of compounds was characterized by binary (fingerprint) descriptors. Unique fingerprint descriptors of chemical structure result in binary strings. As a sequel granular computing can speed up QSAR performance."@en .
