Within this project a comprehensive study is performed of the physical, chemical and radiative aerosol characteristics including some aerosol precursors. Recently, we have reported (Smol\u00EDk et al., 2001) on mass and elemental size distributions of atmospheric aerosol collected at Finokalia sampling site on Crete during the summer campaign (10. \u016F 31. 7. 2000). Finokalia (35o 19' N, 25o 40' E) is a coastal remote site eastward Heraklion on the top of a hill (elevation 130m) facing the sea within the sector of 270o to 90o. Depending on the weather the air masses reaching the station originate from Europe to Africa. The current work reports mass, elemental and chemical size distributions of atmospheric aerosol collected by low pressure cascade impactor at Finokalia during the winter campaign (7. \u016F 14. 1. 2001).
