"Catalytic dechlorination of hexachlorobenzene by municipal incinerator fly ash and by model synthetic fly ash was studied in an inert atmosphere at 260 C. The preferred formation of dehalogenated compounds up to totally dechlorinated species was found to be for both catalytic agents as the same which prove the idea that the dehalogenation mechanism for compared systems is identical. The results were compared with thermodynamical dehalogenation mechanism for compared systems is identical.
