Subsequently, the locality was lying on a flood plain of a watercourse bringing volcanic material; at that time, the ecosystems were at least twice destructed by pyroclastic flows, which left violet, sharply bounded strata. The age of the basaltic lava flow overlying the tuffs and tuffites was determined by K/Ar method (bulk sample) at 32.6+-1.7 Ma. According to relative paleontological dating, the locality belongs to mammalian Zone MP 21.
