At the daily courses of clear days, values of Bowen ratio were the highest at the noon (1-2) because of maximal sensible heat flux. The seasonal variation in the Bowen ratio was clearly 'U' shaped. The Bowen ratio was quite high in the spring and late autumn, when the physiological activity of the forest stand is low, so the ecosystem transpiration gets a small part on the evapotranspiration."@en .
