"Lichens, mosses, and soil were used as indicators for assessment of pollution of cross-boarded Czech-Polish area (Bory Stobrawskie, Bory Niemodli\u0144skie, Kladsk\u00E1 kotlina, and Jesen\u00EDky). Nine different metals (Al, Cr, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg a Pb) in these materials were analyzed using atomic absorption spectroscopy. The highest concentrations of Zn and Pb were found in forest complex of Bory Stobrawskie which results in industrial emission. The forest complex of Bory Niemodli\u0144skie was heavily polluted by Cd, Pb, Cr, and Ni. Pollution of Kladsk\u00E1 kotlina and Jesen\u00EDky were caused mainly by high concentrations of Cr, Ni, and Cd. The highest proportion of total emission caused by studied metals in tested Polish areas possesses municipal sector (e.g. household). Comparable distribution of Cu and Hg contents in mosses and soils in the studied areas shows on remote significant source of pollution.
