It can be used particularly for ammonia sorption from waste gases. Method utilizes the high liquid-holding capacity of exfoliated vermiculite. The content of sulfuric acid in the product is in the range from 5 to 85 weight %. Ammonia is captured by chemical reaction with sulfuric acid and ammonium sulfate is produced, thus the exhausted sorbent can be used in agriculture for example as fertilizer."@en . "Prague" .
