"The present invention relates to a process for preparing zeolite beta from dried half-finished product without inorganic cations using hydrothermal synthesis from a mixture containing aqueous solution of tetraethylammonium hydroxide, seed crystals and a half-finished product. A dried half-finished product is prepared by adding 0.04 to 0.4 parts by weight of oxalic acid and 0.01 to 0.1 parts by weight of ammonium hydrogen fluoride to 8 parts by weight of silica sol stabilized by ammonia containing 3 to 30 percent by weight of SiOi2. Subsequently, 0.1 to 1 part by weight of polyaluminium chloride containing 9 percent by weight of aluminium is added thereto and the mixture is then dried in a spray drier.
