"6"^^ . "The aim of this study was to evaluate growth intensity and weigh gains in the common pheasant (Phasianus colchicus L.) from the time of hatching until the age of 118 days. At the end of fattening we also evaluate weights of carcasses and their dressing percentages and yields of edible organs and tissues in females and males. Within the gender there were found high significant differences (P { 0.01) in live weight and in the weight of carcass, neck, heart, liver, stomach, legs with and without skin, thighs, drumsticks and in leg meat, where higher values were recorded in males. High significant differences (P { 0.01) were found in yields of neck, heart, breast muscles without skin, legs without skin, drumsticks and muscles of drumstick - except breast muscles without skin, whereas higher values were recorded in males."@en .
