"The objective of this project was to utilise Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR) combined with the partial least square (PLS) method for establishing the contents of tetracycline antibiotics in raw cow?s milk. The spectrums were measured in the reflectance mode with transflectance cell (0,1 and 2 mm) in the spectral range of 10000 ? 4000 cm-1 with 100 scans. Calibration models were developed for the monitored parameters. They were assessed statistically based on correlation coefficients (R) and standard errors of calibration (SEC). The best calibration model was obtained for oxytetracycline with using cell of h = 2 mm. These calibration models were later on checked with cross-validation. Using FT-NIR, the MRL (maximum residue limit) of oxytetracycline in milk can be determined."@en .
