"The prevalence and incidence of Campylobacter spp. with the respect to the various types of broilers rearing technologies used in different EU countries is relatively high in intensive farms (96 %) and is comparable with the incidence in the Czech republic. In the organic farms the prevalence is 100% and the lowest was in extensive farms (91%). In the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Lithunia, GB and France the dominant strains was C. jejuni (CR - 80 %), on the contrary to the Italy, where dominant was C. coli (57 %) and C. jejuni was found only in 24 % samples. From the results the necessity of monitoring of Campylobacter spp. is clear and the results in other european counties show, that there is a possibility to decrease incidence of Campylobacter spp. in farm animals and consequently reduction of human campylobacteriosis occurence."@en .
