After 75 days of fattening 16 individuals from each of three groups were selected to estimate the content of nutrients in flayed fillets. There were no significant differences (P>0.05) in fat, crude protein, cholesterol, saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, arachidonic, eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acid content, respectively in meatof fish fed the different diets. Meat of fish fed the diet with linseed oil contained more a-linolenic acid than meat of control fish (P<0,001). In the group L5, the content of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and the n-3/n-6 PUFA ratio in meat was significantly (P<0.001) better and more favourable for consumers than in fish without oil supplement in the diet."@en .
