"In the field experiments with 10 pepper cultivars were analysed vitamin C and total carotenoids content. Mean vitamin C content in green fruits was 1691 mg/kg f.m., while in red fruits reached 2160 mg/kg f.m. In comparison of green fruits cv. Beros resulted with the highest content (2174 mg/kg f.m.), on the other hand cv. Granova with the lowest content (1501 mg/kg f.m.). Red fruits had higher levels of vitamin C in range of 2285 mg/kg f.m. (cv. Beros) to 1838 mg/kg f.m. (cv. Kor\u00E1l). Mean carotenoids content in green fruit was 185 mg/kg f.m., red fruits showed 679 mg/kg f.m. The highest carotenoids content in green fruits was found in cv. Mary\u0161a and Rubinova (150 mg/kg f.m.). In red fruits the peak reached cv. Karkulka (1584 mg/kg f.m.). The lowest carotenoids level showed cv.
