"The gene pool area of lonicera is situated in the area of Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno. It contains 24 varieties and genotypes, which had been gradually planted over a 5-year period. The focus of the evaluations was on growth, phenology and crop data and laboratory assessments of malic acid and vitamin C. In 2003, out of the 24 varieties and genotypes 33.37 % had a poor growing capacity, 16.66 % had a good growing capacity and the growing capacity of 49.97 % was medium. The highest shrub in 2003 was the variety Altaj and in 2004 the variety Viola (1.38 m). In 2003 and 2004 the variety Lonicera kamtschat'ica had the highest crops (584.60 g and 873.10 g per shrub, respectively).
