. "This work is focused on a specific type of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) monocultures Fagetum nudum wherein soil physical-chemical properties as pH, exchangeable basis and cation exchange capacity are assessed. The assessment was realized on research plots of West Carpathian sub province. Results are discussed with classification of Fagetum nudum as a type of acidophilus beech forest and we can see a high difference of topsoil chemism of Fagetum nudum contrary with a beech wood with an understory cover density higher than 15%. Observed sites of naked beech wood show higher trophic properties and higher values of pH as well as higher available nutrients content. This paper is concluded with an accent on a nature of beech forest and an anthropic influence in the past which can cause a similar perception of naked beech monocultures however potentially present phytocoenoses would be different."@en . .
