The question if climate changes are caused by human activity or, on the other hand, it is a periodical natural phenomenon, is still discussed. However, 6.5 billions people living on Earth is a new factor compared with previous climatic events. The publication writes mainly about forest ecosystems. Looking for an answer to the question, how forests can brave the climate change, two principal ways can be discussed: (1) adaptive -- adaptation of forest ecosystems based on genetic predisposition and (2) compensative -- forest ecosystems can balanced rising concentration of CO2 by stocking of the gas.
