"Phylogeny of all European and one American species of the genus Trametes in relation to the genera Coriolopsis, Lenzites and Pycnoporus was studied using the sequence of LSU and ITS regions of nuclear ribosomal DNA. Datasets of LSU and ITS were analyzed using the Fitch-Margoliash method with maximum likelihood distances, maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood and Bayesian method. All Trametes species except for Trametes cervina formed a clade, whereas T. cervina suprisingly grouped with Ceriporiopsis aneirina. In the genus Lenzites, L. betulina is more closely related to Trametes gibbosa than to L. warnierii. The earlier published synonym Lenzites gibbosa (Pers.) Hemmi was therefore adopted for Trametes gibbosa. Our study confirmed the monophyly of the genus Pycnoporus inside the paraphyletic Trametes clade. The genus Coriolopsis, sometimes considered as belonging to Trametes, was clearly delimited in a different clade."@en . "Nova Hedwigia" . . .
