"In the present study, effects of various harvest technologies in ensilaged maize and corn treatments for the starch degradability level in the rumen of fistulated bullocks were investigated. Assesssment were performed during two periods of 2 and 8 hours after feeding. The results indicated that the highest starch degradability was in the maize ensilaged with ca. 32 % dry matter content after stored 1 month, and it was 73 %, whereas in maize bludgeons, it ranged from 54 to 47 %. The starch degradability value of maize corn is affected by corn ripeness and treatments. The degradability is higher in groats (46 %) than in crushed corn (42 %)."@en .
