There was therefore big power consumption because of this type of regulation -- electromotor had to run at full power all the time. Development of frequency converters brought the possibility of power saving. Frequency converters control the electromotor so that the real performance of the vacuum pump is proportional to the air amount sucked in the system. This paper deals with correct settings of input parameters of frequency converter and describes basic values of electromotor and vacuum pump.
