"Drying of grain maize has recently been solved on a larger scale all over the country and not just because new hybrids of maize, but also new dryer on corn. One of the new crop lines is also in Lipoltice (mobile dryer taken 2010, storage base 2012). Here were carried out basic operational measuring of energy consuption and dryer operating parameters evaluation. Drying corn was conducted in two phases. Drying of the initial average grain moisture 29.9% to 19.6% and in the second stage of drying from 16.7% to a final storage humidity 13.7%. Drying was achieved at the average consumption in the first stage, 1.275 respectively 1.56 m3 of natural gas per 1 t% in the second phase.
