Lesser known is that wind erosion affects also heavy soils especially during specific climate conditions and wrong way of management. The process of wind erosion in these specific areas occurs predominantly in winter and early spring (February, March, April) - in the periods with the lowest precipitations and temperatures. In this period the soil alternately freezes out and defreezes, soil structure breaks up and soil particles are loosened. One of the few places, where the soil erosion on heavy soils occurs, is the area of south eastern Moravia below B\u00EDl\u00E9 Karpaty Mountains (White Carpathian Mountains). Heavy soils that are not normally susceptible to wind erosion are in this area strongly threatened because of disintegration of soil structure during winter conditions.
