DNA sequencing is the determination of all or part of the nucleotide sequence of a specific deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecule. The automated cycle sequencing in combination with a fluorescent labelled primers or ddNTPs is recently mostly used method. We performed the direct sequencing of PCR products using ABI PRISM 310 and ABI PRISM 3100-Avant Genetic Analyzer (Applied Biosystems). The aim of the study was the determination of the porcine MYF6 gene structure by direct sequencing of the PCR product. Length of the sequenced fragment was 379 bp.
