"After the date of legal force of the last amendment to the labour code were published a European Community directives and regulations refering to Labour law. For this reason was necessary amend the Labour Code. The main objective of the amened provision is providing for agreement of legal regulation of Czech Labour Code and European Community's law and also elimination of the basic problems from application. Is define precisely the prohibition of the direct and indirect discrimination, concept of harassment and sexual harassment, and're determined the exeptions from principle of equal treatment with all employers (workers). The amendment include supplementary provisions of essential elements of an competition clause and prohibit repeating conclusion of contract of emloyment for fixed term with the same parties to a contract. The amendment also disturb the severance pay (cancellation fee) for top managers who were disengaged from a function and change the timing of work hours and work paus"@en .
