"The main aim of the study was to analyze actual changes in the autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity at simulated dive in the hyperbaric chamber between 1.5 - 5.0 ATA. Methods: The group of 23 participants (professional police and military scuba divers, 32.3 +- 3.4 years). The activity of ANS was monitored in the hyperbaric chamber by the system VarCor PF7 and VarCor PF7 multi and assessed by the time domain and spectral analysis of heart rate variability (HRV). Results: Some parameters of frequency and time analysis of HRV significantly changed, primarily vagal activity parameters (PHF, CCV HF, MSSD, NN50) that with increasing pressure significantly increased and with decreasing pressure decreased. The breath frequency changed significantly from the pressure 3.5 to 5.0 ATA as well. Conclusion: The simulated dive in the hyperbaric chamber from 1.5 to 5.0 ATA significantly increases ANS activity, primarily vagal activity."@en . . . "15510" . .
