"The main aim of those study was to find out actual changes of autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity at stay in hyperbaric chamber, which simulated descent and ascent on scuba diving. The partial aim was to compare response of ANS in particular simulated depths (5 - 40m) in course of gradual descending or fast descend and gradual ascending. The ANS activity was monitoring by VarCor PF 7 diagnostic system and assessed by force of spectral and time domain analysis of heart rate variability. Spectral power of HF component, which is accomplished indicator of vagal activity, in the event of gradual descending almoust linearly increased and in the event of gradual ascending almoust linearly decreased. The changes between vagal activity components at descending and ascending, which show some changes in heart rate, were probably in connection with a speed of pressure changes.
