"The aim of our composition is to theoretically determine the angle of flying ball (the angle of serve) when serving, that is the most important factor in tennis. The bigger this angle is the more the player can serve strongly and decrease the probability of the serve landing outside the defined area. Our research was based on mathematical problem solving, when on the base defined size of the court and the real range of the body height of players are calculated theoretical values of the angle of serve. In addition it is necessary to add the length of the arm and the distance between the centre of the racket and the place were it is gripped. Provided that the ball is flying along a straight line and tightly over the net and the ball lands at the end of the court, we calculated the range of the angle for successful serve and the minimum height from which a player can serve.
