"Values education is, according to many experts, a very important part of young people's education, because the internalization of positive values brings great assets for the society and the individuals. We believe that one of the possibilities, how to positively affect pupils and to stimulate the development of these values, are texts of the literature for children, specifically the narrative prose with a child or a teenager as a main character. The contemporary setting of the education system allowes a great variety of how to work with given texts and in which subjects to use them. On a specific piece of the literature for children, we will outline which values are transferable through the text to the pupils and define the area where a partial success is possible (with regards to the curriculum documents for the elementary education)"@en .
