"Aim of the paper was to carry out a pedagogical research focused on pupils' attitudes to a school and school environment, including their values, in different types of elementary schools. The thesis dealt with elaboration of methodical proceeding and assessment of suitable methods for the research and statistical processing of the results which was done effectively by the means of ICT. Secondary aim of the paper was to conceive methodical recommendations for elementary school teachers in the field of pupils' attitudes measuring; these can be used by teachers in practice to diagnose a pupil and a class. Semantic differential, method of ordering values and qualities, and method of incomplete sentences were chosen as the main research methods. Research data were processed in programs Excel 2003 and STATISTICA Cz 9.0.
