"The aim of the research was to develop a simple, reliable and rapid method for determination of the high ozone content in various matrices, which would be suitable for testing and verifying the efficiency of ozone generators of various designs manufactured for the use in ozonation and disinfection devices. Iodometric titration method has been optimized for monitoring the efficiency of water saturation with ozone. The method was used to calibrate commercial kits for colorimetric determination of ozone in water. Iodometry was also used for monitoring of the temperature effect on the content of ozone in water and for testing of the efficiency of various types of generators. A simple and fast gravimetric method was developed to measure the amount of ozone in the gas phase. The combination of two methods was designed and tested for determination of the ozone content in oils: gravimetric determination of the total amount of absorbed ozone and spectrophotometric determination of free ozone content."@en .
