Application ArcGIS Diagrammer creates the conceptual model of geodatabase. The graphical notation of both applications could be evaluated according to the theory %22Physics of Notation%22 suggested by Dr. Daniel Moody. The theory consists of nine principles. The principles evaluate from the point of effective cognition of graphic notation. Selected principles are presented in this article. The results were compared with the eye-tracking testing in the laboratory. Finally, some examples for the user creation of cognitive effective diagrams are suggested for both applications."@en .
