"The information system for academic staff performance evaluation (IS HAP) is a software tool with a user friendly interface for inputting, evaluation and presentation of data concerning the activities of an academic staff member. The evaluation is calculated using a mathematical model based on a linguistic fuzzy expert system. The software also provides an administration interface for the evaluation system which makes it possible to modify evaluation parameters including the evaluation forms. The software is a web application and therefore the users can access it from any computer with connection to the Internet. IS HAP provides the executives (e.g. heads of departments) with an overview of their academic staff members' activities and their workload, annual evaluation are available on various levels of aggregation and the outputs of the evaluation system are presented also linguistically and graphically. This makes IS HAP an appropriate tool for HR management at universities.
