"Exulantství v ruských románech Vladimira Nabokova jako konflikt tradičních hodnot a cizoty."@cs . "Relocation involves a dynamic negotiation between adaptation, assimilation and appropriation, during which the subject is reconfigured but its environment is also affected and changed. Relocation is the result of dislocation, a spatial transfer (journey, migration, immigration, exile), and it is frequently followed by a sense of disorientation with consequences varying from regeneration to resignation or resistance in the face of the new demands and new possibilities offered by the new place. While the concept of relocation is generally used in connection with the subject and identity, the authors of this book expand the concept to examine relocation of genre conventions and of ideological schemes. The author shows that relocation needs to be explored not only by means of structuralist method but that useful insights can still be gained by a combination of textual analysis and a biographical and historical approach. Dislocation and the struggle for a meaningful relocation of the main protagonist in Vladimir Nabokov's novellas are discussed by the article. The author argues that the way out of disorientation caused by dislocation and strategies for recovering control over one's own life include the conception of life as a game and the will to act."@en .
