"A few years ago, the field of public economy was not such a highly debated topic as it is today. Budget balances and public debt values were far from what they are today and their increase was offset annually with strong recurring GDP growth. The situation today is the exact opposite - while economic growth of developed nations, including the Czech Republic, is around zero percent, public budgets at all levels are showing such high debts, that in many cases they are already very difficult to finance. There will be necessary not only to decrease budget deficit and public debt, but in reform of public finance to focus interest on inner structure of them. Along with the growing significance of fiscal policy and the means of dealing with the critical state of public finances, grows the necessity of the interconnection between fiscal policy and monetary policy. It will be a delicate search to find a mutual balance between these policies, as their function and main goals are essentially contradictory. While the primary aim of the fiscal policy is to promote economic growth, with the goal of allocating funds for the public budget, the monetary policy of the central bank on the other hand strives for price stability and places sustainable economic growth is a secondary objective.The main methods of this paper is analysis of structure of public budgets, their mutual comparison with the goal to find out possible solution to consolidation the area of public finance as a whole."@en .
