"Our aim was to monitor the following on the basis of comparison between Czech and Dutch lesbian women: diff erences in course of coming out process, determination of social support, attitudes towards lesbian community and perception of autostereotypes and heterostereotypes. Semi-structured interviews were used as research method. We selected 12 lesbian respondents from the Netherlands and 12 from the Czech Republic by the snowball sampling method. However, due to the sampling method used, there are some deviations from cross section of the analyzed group and it may have influenced the obtained data.
