This workshop aims to unify heterogeneous statistical knowledge of beginning doctoral students in the conceptual framework of a linear regression model and provide a solid knowledge base for understanding advanced linear statistical models. We introduce the idea of ??a statistical model and show how the correlation, t-tests and ANOVA can be seen as the simplest forms of a linear regression model. Other topics: using conventional linear regression model, types of research questions this approach can answer, inclusion of different variables in the regression model incl. categorical variables and hierarchical regression. In the final section, we present the directions in which the linear regression model extends to other areas of use: logistic regression and generalized linear models, multi-level regression models, structural modeling (SEM)."@en . .
