"Most scholars accept the presumption that since the break of 9th and 10th centuries Great Moravian Old Church Slavonic had continued as Church Slavonic of the Czech recension. Whenever arguments against continuous development of the oldest literal Slavonic language in the Czech lands appear they mostly suggest that the tradition was interrupted in the 10th century and renewed in the 1030s, when the S\u00E1zava monastery was founded. Philological study of the issue of the continuity, as author of the study reminds us, seems to imply that the tradition should be seen as continous. Analysis of linguistic specifics in the Church Slavonic texts of the Czech recension and of graphical form of Glagolitic script used in Bohemia seems to prove the continuity. Specific purposes of certain texts (namely paraliturgical texts and canonic legal texts) and the assumed spread of Great Moravian texts in copies even out of the Sazava Monastery also suggest that the continuity should be seen as uninterrupted."@en .
