"The accessus was a widespread commentary genre in the Middle Ages, following mostly a standard typology: life of the author, abridgement of the work, its usefulness, title and relation to philosophy. In the twelfth and thirteenth century a series of versified textbooks was written, e.g. Doctrinale and Grecismus. Versified accessus are, however, relatively rare: Among the 99 known accessus on the Heroides only one is versified, the Goliard rhymed accessus in Ms. Bern 512. The paper gives the first complete edition of the text together with a versified Czech translation. The text is compared with the description of Ovidian oeuvre by Hugh of Trinmberg in his Registrum multorum auctorum, with the Bursarii accessus on the same folio of the manuscript and with the accessus by Arnulf of Orleans."@en . .
