"Objective: To give the review about factors which are important for the woman while deciding which maternity hospital to choose and about notions of Czech women according to which they would describe the offered care as the good quality one. The next objective of this study is to find out for which services in connection with childbirth and staying in hospital are women ready to pay extra, including the opinion change which is caused after experience in childbirth and hospitalization. Design: Primal study Methods: Quantitative study - two-phased survey by pregnant and women after childbirth by using the questioning technique with the questionnaire. In the first focus group there were distributed 386 questionnaires and back collected 111 questionnaires. In the second focus group there were distributed 523 questionnaires and back collected 282 filled-out questionnaires. Results: There were identified main factors important for women while choosing the maternity hospital. At the same time there was find out, that factors used in marketing studies are for women seen as not important, does not matter which education, age and how many children do they have. At the same time when evaluating the health care as the good quality one, there are too preferred factors included these related to communication and the amount of given information. The readiness to pay extra for care and hotel services is quietly high and comes up to services which are in this time in health care facilities current offered."@en .
