"Correlation analysis is often used for analysis of linear dependence of data variables. However, in many cases said dependence between data vectors is other than linear, therefore correlation analysis results should be regarded with care. Even correlation values slightly above zero do not contradict the possibility of non-linear dependency between observed variables.
